Why indicators lag (and structure does not)
Explain why every indicator contains less information than price itself Describe lag as arithmetic rather than a tuning problem Identify correlated indicators agreeing as one opinion, not several Assign indicators to trend filtering, volatility and warnings — never to direction
Swing highs, swing lows and trend reading
Apply a consistent lookback when marking swing points Write a trend as a numeric sequence to remove interpretation Distinguish a sweep from a break of structure using the candle close Recognise change of character as a signal to stop adding, not to reverse
Liquidity: where price is actually drawn
Explain why price moves toward clustered resting orders Identify where stops cluster: below lows, above highs, at round numbers Distinguish a liquidity sweep from a genuine break by the close Place stops beyond the obvious cluster and reduce size to hold risk constant
Context: the higher timeframe decides
Explain why the same setup is good or bad depending on the timeframe above it Apply the permission model: higher timeframe grants, lower timeframe enters Run a thirty-second context check before every entry State the narrow conditions under which counter-trend trading is legitimate
